Seiser Alm - the largest high alpine meadow in Europe
Our Goldknopf Alpine Lifestyle Hotel is located right in the heart of the nature park on the traffic-restricted Seiser Alm - one of the most beautiful and largest high alpine meadows in Europe.
For your arrival and departure, we will issue you a special driving permit, which you will conveniently receive from us by email. Please note: without a valid special driving permit, access to the Seiser Alm is not possible.
Traffic-restricted from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
With the mandatory special driving permit, you may arrive and depart at any time on your day of arrival and departure. During your stay, however, the traffic restriction applies: entry and exit are not permitted between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Without a valid special driving permit, access to the Seiser Alm is not possible - only guests staying on the Alm receive this permit. This ensures that the Seiser Alm remains a protected, peaceful recreation area that is not open to general car traffic.

Please note that on Saturdays we have fixed pick-up times: in the morning at 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00 a.m., and in the afternoon at 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 p.m. A later arrival is possible until 7:00 p.m. for an additional fee. Even later arrivals are available on request.
Rooms are ready for occupancy from 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival.

In winter
In winter, our free parking for your car is located at Hotel Ritsch (garage available on request for a daily fee of €20). From Compatsch, follow the same road further toward Saltria – you will reach Hotel Ritsch about 2 km after Compatsch on the right-hand side.
From the parking area, you will enjoy a memorable transfer to the hotel by snowcat! The shuttle service on arrival and departure is free of charge.
ATTENTION'
Some navigation systems do not find the correct route to us. Therefore, from Klausen or Bolzano, please always follow one of the routes mentioned above (and not via Val Gardena).
Motorway Munich – Innsbruck – Brenner – Klausen. Take the Brenner motorway to the Klausen exit.
Continue on the SS12 state road toward Waidbruck.
Then follow the LS24 provincial road toward Kastelruth until you reach Telfen.
At the roundabout in Telfen, take the first exit and after about 200 m turn left onto the road to the Seiser Alm.
After about 10 km, you will reach Compatsch with the large parking area, the tourist office, and the bike rental.
There, turn right between the parking area and the info point and follow the paved road directly to the hotel, where signposts will guide you. You can park in the hotel’s underground garage.
On the Brenner motorway, take the Bolzano Nord exit and follow the SS12 toward Brenner.
In Blumau, drive through the left tunnel toward the Schlern area.
Continue on the LS24 via Völs to Seis.
The road up to the Alm is located between Seis and Kastelruth.
After about 10 km, you will reach Compatsch with a large parking area, the tourist office, and the bike rental.
There, turn right between the parking area and the info point and follow the paved road directly to the hotel, where signposts will guide you. You can park in the hotel’s underground garage.

If you are traveling to South Tyrol by train in summer, we recommend getting off in Bolzano. From there, you have two convenient options to reach the Seiser Alm:
Option 1: By taxi directly from Bolzano train station to us.
Option 2: Take the bus to Seis and then the cable car (blue gondola) up to the Seiser Alm. The final stretch to the hotel (approx. 3 km) is best covered comfortably by taxi.
If you are traveling by train in winter, please also get off in Bolzano. From there, you have two options:
Take a taxi directly from Bolzano train station to Hotel Ritsch. From there, we will pick you up with the snowcat and bring you comfortably to the hotel.
Take the bus to Seis, then the cable car (blue gondola) up to the Seiser Alm, and from there continue by bus or taxi directly to Hotel Ritsch.
By plane

Travel to the Seiser Alm is also possible by plane. The nearest airport is Bolzano Airport (SkyAlps). From there, we recommend continuing your journey by taxi.
